Well, I have been contemplating a political career for some time. I really want to follow in the footsteps of my ancestors. Joshua R. Giddings was one of the principal arbitrators of the abolition of slavery in the United States between the 1820s and his passing in 1864.

His energy, devotion, and forthright nature kept his enemies at bay and allowed him to continue to push forward. This set of traits runs in the family and to not take advantage of them would be heresy. However, I am of the principal belief that one should not be a politician as a career... rather one needs skills and abilities to fall back on once their political life is over. Either because they may not be voted back in, they hit a term limit, or in the best case... they’ve achieved their primary goals.

I have been conducting a deal of research on what it takes to run in the states of Ohio and Maryland. Joshua R Giddings was from Ashtabula Ohio up by Cleveland. But my family tree and my own personal desires take me to the Baltimore, Maryland area.

If anyone has feedback, please let me know.
