Organic Peach White Tea (Honest Tea)

Tuesday is Iced Tea Review day!

Occasionally I run into a nice, light iced tea with a calming flavor and surprisingly little briskness allowing me simply to relax with a nice breeze on a hot Summer day. This fantastically light peach flavored white iced tea from Honest Tea hits that spot just about to a tee, pun intended.

It’s interesting how you can clearly see the particles of peach in the cloudy and rustic orange tea through the bottle. It’s ultimately reassuring of the purity of this certified organic beverage.

After opening the bottle and sniffing deeply the aromas of this tea… my primary impression is of peaches with clear notes of sugar having been added for additional sweetness. This is not usually my preference as I like to be able to taste more of the tea, and less of the additives.

The flavor of this tea is not particularly bold. Clearly sweetened, the peach overtones and citrus notes don’t come in until after the sugar has softened the blow. I really would prefer a tea with less sugar, but this blend remained remarkably refreshing whether at my cubicle at work or in a hammock in the shade on a hot Summer day.

I recommend this ready to drink bottled tea to those who like sweet teas, peach tea, fruit teas, flavored tea, iced teas and just a darned refreshing beverage!
