As circumstances would have it, I’m headed to Atlanta today. You wouldn’t think it though since it’s roughly 4 am and I haven’t packed a damned thing and my flight is just before 5 pm and I still have to work today.

I needed to contact Amy today to ensure her boy Jon is able to drive me from their place to the airport so I don’t have to park my car there while I’m in Atlanta and charge up two days of parking fees. Presumably an expensive endeavor. I was hoping to avoid those fees. Though I would get them back via reimbursement I’d prefer to not have to file the reimbursement request at all.

I went clubbing on both Friday and Saturday nights. Friday was at The Exchange downtown with Neha. I forgot to take my camera with me and get photos of Neha and the club and as many hot women as possible. :P The D.J. gave me the password to get into the club Saturday for free since he wasn’t allowed to play the kind of music that fit my tastes. Sometime during the night on Friday a dude up in the D.J. booth threw a wad of paper that hit me in the head. I later found out (Saturday night) that it wasn’t meant for me specifically, just that the floor at The Exchange was weak and had a chance of breaking. Nonetheless, it ruined the evening for me as I’d felt targeted. Vengeance, however, came with an acknowledgment from the D.J. that the guy had been accosted because the D.J. thought I was cool. I guess it helped that the D.J. and I were both Mac users. His iBook is awesome! A bit before the club closed the hot ass bartender girl bought me a drink! YAY!

Saturday was at Purgatory. I showed up a bit early (try an hour) and wasn’t permitted in. So I went to a bar around the corner (on Main) called The Lab. The place was nice, but the best part was that the bartender had impeccable taste in music. Orbital, Underworld, Kruder & Dorfmeister... good shit! He gave me a drink at the house as well! In case you’re wondering, I don’t normally drink a lot, but I LOVE Kamikaze's! Great dance. Met some really fabulous women. Too bad I went by myself on Saturday... it was lonely for the first two hours. I was the only person on the floor dancing for almost an hour and a half... then the few people who joined were all grinding and shit. It sucked! After midnight though... it picked up... and it ROCKED!!! Loads of people dancing. They circled up around me for a bit. I’m starting to get the impression that people think I’m a good/decent dancer. I disagree, I just do what the brain says should be done and it seems to work out.

Sunday I spend most of my day gaming with Tony. I didn’t get home Saturday morning or Sunday morning from the clubs until about three thirty both nights. I had plenty to drink. About fifteen Kamikaze’s, two beers, and three vodka & cranberry’s. On an average week... I wouldn’t have anything alcoholic. Thankfully, so long as I am not overtly mixing beer and liquor I don’t seem to have any issues handling the alcohol content. I was fine to drive Sunday morning, despite any naysayers.

Today I am scheduled, as mentioned, to Atlanta. I’ll be returning late on Tuesday night. I’m flying out from Dayton and will return to Dayton as well, no layovers either way. This is only the second time I have ever flown, and the first since 9/11. I hope all flows properly. I hear it’ll be faster this way than by driving like I did last Spring to my brother’s wedding in Naples, Florida which took about 22.5 hours!

When I get back on Tuesday night I am headed out to visit with Sonia, have a few drinks, and come home again. Work half a day on Wednesday, then I am off until the 28th. Depending on whether Annette can go, I will either be traveling to Louisville for Thursday and Friday or I will be headed out to Baltimore right away. I hope to spend some time in Annapolis and D.C. while I am there and expect to pull over often while in Maryland to take some photos for the archives, and provide me with a greater variety to use on my site here. I am hoping to get in a great variety! We’ll see how well they turn out.

The weather in Atlanta over the next couple of days doesn’t seem promising. But maybe I can FINALLY get some shots of decent snowfall in this year! Cincinnati has had less than 8 inches all winter! Atlanta says cold and Snowy for Monday, but Tuesday should be clear, and chilly. The rest of this week looks pretty clear and warm (for the season), based on the sketchy 7-day forecasts.
