Citrus Spice Green (52teas)

Wednesday is Green Tea, White Tea, Rooibos, Oolong and Tisane (Herbal) Review Day!

As the weather gets colder, I’ve noticed myself gravitating to more spiced teas that usual. This lightly spiced citrus infused sencha style green tea from 52teas is a palate pleaser.

Frank has done it yet again! This spiced green tea appears with medium length broken leaves mixed with lemon peels, lemongrass and clove for a nice menagerie of visuals.

Brewing to an intense bright yellow-green this Citrus Spice green tea from 52teas provides a lightly spiced aroma with just a touch of fruitiness.

While not particularly strong and with an under-pronounced tail this tea has only light astringency. Though combined with the slight pucker of lemon and a spiciness which is subtle but defined… I’d say it comes away with a standard boldness rating.

I can easily recommend this tea to those looking for something comforting in cold weather; fans of spiced tea, cloves and lemongrass; or light to mild sencha style green teas.
